Te Auaunga Case Studies

Auckland Council, 2017

Working in partnership with Dovetail, we undertook an evaluation of a flood mitigation initiative in Mt Roskill.  This involved case studies of two social procurement initiatives: a youth employment initiative and a native nursery based at Wesley Intermediate School.  http://www.knowledgeauckland.org.nz/assets/publications/Te-Auaunga-Oakley-Creek-social-evaluation-social-procurement-case-studies.pdf

RESPONSE OF THE NEW ZEALAND POLICE TO THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY INTO POLICE CONDUCT

OFFICE OF THE AUDITOR GENERAL (OAG) AND COLMAR BRUNTON (2017)

In 2007, the Commission of Inquiry into Police Conduct recommended comprehensive changes to the way the New Zealand Police worked. Audited for 10 years, this piece of work undertaken  on behalf of the Social Research Unit at Colmar Brunton fed into the final monitoring report delivered by the OAG. It involved interviews with Police staff exploring issues such as diversity and inclusion, investigation of adult sexual assault cases, and management of staff performance and conduct.  https://www.oag.govt.nz/2017/police/docs/police.pdf

Rough Sleeping Outreach Services:

Auckland Council, 2016-17

Working in partnership with Dovetail, this project involved an evaluation of outreach services delivered to rough sleepers in Auckland by the City Mission and Salvation Army. The evaluation included literature analysis, process mapping, service data analysis and interviews with rough sleepers and programme stakeholders
