Director of Stellar Research: RACHAEL BUTLER (M Health Sci)

I am a qualitative research specialist with 25 years’ experience as a social and market researcher. I originally trained in the private sector, but since 2002 I have primarily worked in academic and public sector research settings.  

With a broad mix of expertise in qualitative and evaluation methodologies I am proficient in a range of research methods, including in-depth interviews, focus groups, online surveys, and literature reviews. I have a particular interest in - and a passion for – research which gives voice to vulnerable and disadvantaged populations.

Recent specialist areas have been within the health field, and more broadly within the social sector (e.g. local government, housing, criminal justice, education).  I am also an experienced trainer and have ongoing involvement in the delivery of NVivo and other research-related workshops to academic and public sector researchers.
